Axe Throwing

There’s no better place to learn how to throw like a Viking than The Hilt, the first indoor axe throwing venue in the city.

Head here to meet your dedicated coach who’ll conduct a full safety briefing and show you the ropes, teaching you single and two-handed axe throwing.

Your whole group will receive full instruction, making this activity suitable for all abilities.

You’ll have 20-minutes to warm up and practice axe throwing in York before things step up a notch with a 40-minute tournament!

Two of you will throw at the same time, scoring points every time your axe sticks the target.

The highest scorer will be crowned the Viking or Viqueen. Reckon you’ve got what it takes? You’ll also tuck into a selection of Nordic bites.
