There’s so much to see and do in this gorgeous Catalan city that never sleeps! It boasts hot weather, a 4km sandy beach, footie legends, wicked nightlife and is reachable from the UK in a couple of hours, making it the ideal destination for fun-loving stags.
It’s not all sun and cerveza though (Spanish lesson time: It means beer). There’s loads of history and culture to discover. As well as being home to nine UNESCO World Heritage Sites and making the list of the TOP 50 Places on the Planet to Party, National Geographic once named Barcelona the Best Beach City in the World. That said, the beaches are man-made and only built in the 1990s when the city hosted the Olympics.
Spain’s second biggest city doesn’t only pack a punch when it comes to partying, it’s also an adult playground for fun activities, from adrenaline-pumping to laid-back, that are perfect for any stag weekend in Barcelona.
Can’t choose between drinking and sightseeing? Struggling to leave the pub and get outdoors? Fear not because Fizzbox is here to help you! Get out and see the city centre on a beer bike. Think of it as a portable pub on wheels! You and the lads will pedal the beer bike around the city, taking in some gorgeous, famous sights as you swig on delicious beer. How good does that sound? A sober and friendly chauffeur will steer the bike while you do the legwork. Pedalling can be a bit of a workout so, trust us, you’ll be grateful for a cold one!
Looking for a stag do in Barcelona with guaranteed good times? Then bar crawls are just the thing. Get yours pre-booked before your last weekend of freedom and skip any hassle and worry, trying to find the best bars, pubs and clubs in the hottest areas of the city. You can relax and enjoy an epic night out while your outgoing guide looks after everything. They’ll show you the best places and make sure you have a great time. If you’re lucky, you might even get free drinks and drink deals on arrival. Yes, we know, we spoil you!
Are you ready to laugh your heads off as you combine the beautiful game with zorbing? It’s even more fun than it sounds! You’ll each climb into a giant, inflatable zorb that covers your whole upper body to play a very funny footie match, refereed by your very own event coordinator. Barge into everyone else as you try to get possession of the ball and send them rolling down the pitch like big beach balls or bump them out of your way if they're blocking your path. It's all about being creative here so give it some welly, lads.
Guys, it’s time to put your pedal to the metal and race to the finish line! Go karting is a great choice for your stag do, being one of the most popular stagtivities on offer. You'll race around the indoor or outdoor track, going up to 40mph, getting your adrenaline pumping. You'll encounter speedy straight sections and super sharp corners that’ll really challenge your driving skills. What better way to get competitive with your mates and have fun at the same time? Plus, all equipment is provided so all you need to do is turn up, ready to prove that you’re the best driver in your group!
Whether you’ve always wanted to see a beautiful woman take off her clothes and dance for you or just fancy embarrassing the groom-to-be, going to watch a female strip show is the answer! These sexy strippers will perform amazing moves for you, driving you wild as they give you an eyeful (and more!) and even make you blush! You can go to a strip club or you can even hire a stripper to come to your accommodation to perform a striptease. If you’re looking to inject some naughtiness and banter into your stag do, this is it. You'll have a feast for the eyes you’ll never forget!
Get your adrenaline fix on a beasty machine as you trek your way around this action-packed quad biking course. You'll each hop on a powerful all-terrain vehicle and be given full tuition from the venue’s friendly and experienced staff, making this rip-roaring activity suitable for all abilities. Take on a range of challenges around the course including steep inclines, tight corners, humps and bumps. You’ll even splash through muddy puddles so make sure to wear something you don’t mind getting grubby and bring a change of clothes if you want to hit the town after your quad biking session.
We know what you're thinking: "How do I get this party started?" Well, we've got just the thing for you, especially if you’re a fan of drinking! It’s time for a beer tasting. Slow down the pace of your stag do and enjoy a relaxing sip of the good stuff. These tastings are led by knowledgeable and passionate hosts who know a thing or two about a decent beer. We offer both private and group sessions. Whichever you choose, you’ll learn loads of fun facts and will get your lips around plenty of delicious samples including mouth-watering beer that’s brewed locally.
Unleash your inner Sherlock Holmes or Watson with an escape room in Barcelona. These immersive rooms transport you to another world where you'll be tasked to solve puzzles and riddles, hunt for clues and crack lock combinations in order to get out. To make things even trickier, you'll only have one hour to do all of this! You don't have to be a genius to beat the room. Just use common sense and problem solving skills and leave no stone unturned. You never know where a clue might be hiding! Does your stag crew have what it takes to escape in time?
Partying and drinking on land is great fun but let’s face it, it feels even more fun at sea! Soak up the gorgeous sights as you sink some drinks, enjoying a fun, party atmosphere onboard. A DJ will spin the best hits to get you all in the mood for a celebration. Get on your feet and get dancing as you sail across the water. You’ll feel like you’re in paradise! You can even hop on a beer boat where you’ll get a litre of beer each or cruise along a catamaran with a BBQ included. We know, we spoil you!
Calling all footie fans! It’s time to learn all about FC Barcelona, one of the best teams in Europe, and their history of more than 120 years. Explore this multimedia exhibition where you’ll see artefacts and hear fascinating stories. After admiring their European cups, you can feel the rush of being one of the FCB team’s starter and sit on their famous bench. You’ll also get to see the players’ tunnel, pressroom, changing room, field, stands and commentary boxes. You’ll be in your element as you stand at pitch level, taking it all in and stepping in the footprints of these football legends.
Arranging a stag do can be hard work but luckily Fizzbox is here to help you out with loads of easy to book, fun activities that your whole group will love. How about taking in some sea views on a Catamaran Cruise? This three-hour tour includes a BBQ lunch, a swim and snorkel stop, onboard music and two drinks each. The catamaran has a capacity for 80 people, so you’re guaranteed a fun atmosphere as you sail around.
See the city in most hilarious way with a Beer Bike in Barcelona! Hear the laughs and banter flow as you struggle to get in sync with each other before pedalling around the city streets. You’ll get a litre of beer each to sink as you explore. There will be music onboard to give you an epic soundtrack to this boozy sightseeing experience.
Why not sort out all your night time shenanigans in one hit with our Complete Boys Night Out package? Kick start your night out with a tasty, three-course Spanish meal with unlimited drinks before a sexy senorita stripper pays you a visit! She’ll get everyone’s hearts racing with a seductive striptease before it’s time to cool off with a mini bar crawl. Once you’re suitably merry, you’ll hit one of the city’s hottest nightclubs where you party way into the night. Your stag do in Barcelona, sorted!
Want to do some of the main tourist attractions? Then we can highly recommend the Casa Batllo, a Gaudi masterpiece, while the final part of your tour of the building will involve entering a room where screens will be on the walls, floor and ceiling, before a 10 minute show takes place all around you. It will leave the hairs on the back of your neck standing up, many highlight this as one of the best parts of Barcelona, but make sure your pass includes the show, as you may need the 'gold ticket' for this part.
The Park Guell is one of the top spots to visit in Barcelona and could also be a great spot to chill out in during the day on your bachelor party. The queues can be a little manic, so you may want to get here relatively early. The famous area for the photos does especially get busy, so earlier the better if you want a picture with the whole squad.
The park is actually right next to the Gaudi Experience, something that often gets left out from tourist guides, rather surprisingly. This involves a 10 minute 4D cinema experience, where you will watch a movie (don't worry about not knowing the words, there are none, it's purely music based), while things jump out at you and the seats move all over the place. You literally need to strap yourself in for this experience!
Why is Barcelona a great destination for a stag do?
To put it simply, Barcelona has it all! Whether you’re after the action of the vibrant city centre, prefer the idea of sun-soaked beaches, or fancy a combination of the two, Barcelona offers the best of both worlds! And let’s not forget the awesome array of stag do activities and the electric nightlife too! Sure, this arty city is great for learning about culture, but it’s not just about Gaudi, we promise! For an epic send-off, look no further than Barcelona!
When is the best time to book a Barcelona stag do?
This is a top city to visit year-round - you’ll never be short of things to do here. But of course, most stag groups plan their trip for the summer months so that they can make the most of the great weather. Think lazy beach days, watersports, rooftop bars and dining al fresco! With the sunshine comes the crowds, so if you prefer a slightly less busy time, aim for early spring or September. This way, you’ll still enjoy the warmth, just in a more laid-back atmosphere.
What activities should we plan for our stag group?
This all depends on your stag group’s style - whether you’re after some chilled activities or something more adrenaline-packed, we guarantee you’ll find something that everyone will be on board with. How about beers with a difference, where you’ll hop on a private pedal boat and enjoy your very own, exclusive pub on the water? If you prefer to stay on dry land, then there’s also a beer bike, where you’ll be able to take in some scenic views and sink plenty of cold pints! Other activities include the likes of stag do staples go karting, bubble football, and paintballing, or why not add a saucy surprise for the stag with a steak and strip? Oh, and who could forget the Nou Camp Stadium and Museum tour, where you’ll get to experience the home ground of FC Barcelona!
Is Barcelona safe for stag groups?
Yes, Barcelona is perfectly safe for stag groups, but like with any other tourist destination be aware of pickpockets - especially on Las Ramblas or crowded bars in central tourist areas. Be sure to stick together, keep your belongings close, and try not to overdo it on those absinthe shots!
What’s Barcelona’s nightlife like?
The nightlife here is completely legendary. Kickstart your evening with drinks at one of the city’s stylish rooftop bars, before heading to the beach clubs for epic beats. Alternatively, explore the hidden bars in the Gothic Quarter for a more laid-back vibe, before finishing things up at a top nightclub. Want to go big? Opium, Shoko, and Pacha are some of the city's biggest and best clubs. Remember, the clubs don’t normally open here until 11 pm and stay open until 6 am!
Where should we stay in Barcelona?
There’s loads of great accommodation options in Barcelona, with something to suit every budget. For wallet-friendly accommodation, consider hostels, standard hotels, or serviced apartments. If you’re looking to push the boat out, then you’ll be spoiled with endless 5-star hotels offering a luxurious experience. W Hotel Barcelona offers the ultimate stay with ultra-sleek rooms and a prominent spot on the beach!
Is Barcelona easy to navigate?
Yes, very! Barcelona is a breeze to get around and is super walkable. But if you’d prefer to skip on the walking, there’s plenty of public transport available. Hop on the Metro, which is cheap and quick or hire bikes and scooters and cruise your way along the beachfront. For those groups who want to reach their destination quickly, then you’ll be able to book a taxi or rideshare with ease.
Any rules or cultural tips we should know?
Be aware that when it comes to drinking, no open containers are allowed in public areas (street drinking in other words) so keep the beers in a glass at a bar, club, or restaurant. Also, loud boozy behaviour definitely won’t win you points with the locals (or the police!) so be sure to keep things classy. Finally, many clubs will not grant groups admission if they’re in beachwear or wearing stag fancy dress - be sure to check out any dress codes for preferred venues in advance.
Go Karting - If adrenaline’s your thing, you’ve got to try out the quintessential stag do activity of go karting! Take to this heart-pounding outdoor track to race against each other in 270cc MicroGP karts. You’ll take part in qualifying laps before starting your final race of eight laps in grid formation. Alternatively, Quad Biking will leave your need for speed feeling satisfied after you’ve ploughed through the fields, taking on bumps and sharp corners.
Bubble Football - If you love your footie, you’ve got to try bubble football in Barcelona where you’ll be climbing into a very funny football kit – giant, inflatable zorb balls that completely encase your arms, head and upper body with just your legs free at the bottom to run around! This makes for some hilarious banter as you bump, bounce and barge each other out the way to tackle.
Waterparks - Want to cool off from the Spanish sunshine? Head to Illa Fantasia. This awesome 70,000m2 waterpark, just an hour from the city centre, is packed with exciting rides, more than 22 slides and three massive pools where you can get wet and wild!
Not every stag group is the same and sometimes you just need to take it easy with the lads. Luckily for you, we’ve got loads of chilled-out activities to help you make memories on your Barcelona stag weekend.
Hummer Tour - How about exploring the city with a Hummer Tour? You’ll be chauffeured around for one hour as you see the sights and crack open two bottles of Catalan Cava. Why not get the Hummer to take you to a bar or club so you can arrive in style? Imagine how jealous onlookers will be!
Hummer Tour - If you’re a group of footie mad stags, you’ll love the Nou Camp stadium tour where you’ll learn everything about FC Barcelona and their success over the past century. You can explore areas you’re never usually allowed to see including the players’ tunnel, changing rooms, commentary boxes, pressroom, the pitch and more. You can even take a seat on their bench! You’ll also take a self-guided tour of the museum dedicated to these football legends that’s packed with loads of multimedia exhibits.
Brewery Tour - Prefer your activities a bit boozier? No problem, lads. Head on a brewery tour in Barcelona where you’ll find out exactly what makes Spanish beer so damn tasty, seeing the brewing process and other behind the scenes processes. To really sweeten the deal, you’ll get four tasters and a pint each. Cheers to that!
If you fancy taking on some of the more unusual activities while in Barcelona then you might want to visit the Big Fun Museum. A bizarre building filled with hilarious 'art pieces', such as a giant sink you can lean against for a great photo, or huge jelly beans. Would the groom love a picture with all the lads atop a unicorn? Well then this is your place to be. Talking of funny photos, you could also visit the Set Lab, which allows you to book the venue for 15 minutes or an hour and you can then take some great photos and videos within their photosets, including a ball pit and a fake supermarket.
This Spanish city boasts some of the best nightlife in Europe and a night out here can be as laid-back or as crazy as you like. But be prepared for your Barcelona stag night clubbing sesh to start late as most locals wouldn’t dream of going to a club before midnight. Paradiso is one of those bars that will leave you stunned and with some great stories to bring home, plus the cocktails come in really cool glasses and designs. In fact, one includes a cloud being floated over to your glass, madness! If the groom is a rock fan, then you might want to check out Bollocks. Hilariously named, this rock bar is a little bit dirty in the best possible way, while it plays up on being fun and a bit wild. Those siestas make sense now, right? Not sure where to start your night time antics? Let us break down some of the best party areas:
