If you’re looking for a unique way to see the sights of the historic city of Manchester whilst hunting for clues and solving puzzles, then Treasure Hunt Manchester have got just the experience for you!
Meet Captain Bess, she’s a pirate looking for new recruits and thinks you might have what it takes! You’ll be given maps, clues and directions to hunt across the city! Don’t worry if you get stuck, Bessy is there to give you helpful hints should you need them.
Starting near the iconic LGBT+ centric Canal Street, this treasure hunt is designed to give you a thorough tour of this iconic city rich in both culture and history! Wander through the stunning Sackville Gardens, visit the John Rylands Library and head to the tranquil Lincoln Square in the midst of hunting down your clues and trying to get the highest score possible!
Your hunt will end with a score being given to you by Bess, but it’s not a competition, so take your time, have a laugh with your mates and - most importantly - have fun!

The game works a bit like a WhatsApp group, but on a web page instead. You don’t need to download anything and it doesn’t need any permissions.
Before you’re due to start, we’ll send you a link to the game. Open the link to join the game and share it with your team so they can join too.
Once you’re ready, Captain Bess will tell you what to do next.
Aim to finish before sunset—it's near impossible to find clues in the dark!
You can play in 2 parts—if it suits your plans, you can pause the game and come back after lunch or even the next day.
Please bring a smartphone with data and full battery, shoes appropriate for 2 miles for walking and waterproofs in case of bad weather.
