What's involved

Whatever your ability, whether you’re a beginner or looking to progress to the next level, these surf lessons in Newquay will see you hit the waves with confidence in no time!

Lasting two and a half hours and led by a professional surfing instructor, these lessons have all the equipment provided for you including surfboards and wetsuits.

The instructor will carry out a safety brief on the beach, teach you about rip currents (including how to avoid and get out of them safely) and introduce you to your equipment.

Then they’ll lead a practical lesson on how to stand up on your surfboard.

It might sound intimidating at first, but you’ll be pleased to hear that Kingsurf Surf School have a 95% stand up rate on their lessons.

You’ll soon be catching waves and having a blast doing it. Don’t worry if you wipe out; it’s all part of the fun!

No previous surfing experience is needed but you must be able to swim 25m.

Important information

Please arrive 15 minutes early to allow time to get kitted up. Please bring swimwear, a towel and suncream. You must be able to swim 25m and declare any medical conditions that we may need to know about. Takes place at 10am and 2pm.
