What's involved
Historically included as an event in lumberjack competitions, this modern version of axe throwing involves exactly what it says on the tin: throwing an axe at various targets and attempting to hit the bullseye. It may sound simple, but those axes are heavy and there is a real skill to be learnt here.
You will be accompanied by foot to a centrally-located activity centre by a friendly, English-speaking guide. Your knowledgeable instructor will begin the one hour session by teaching you how to hold the axe, and sharing tips and techniques on how to angle the handle and flick the blade, in order to improve your precision.
Once you know what you’re doing, it’ll be time to take on the targets and get competitive! We’re confident that the friendly banter will be in full flow, as you determine once and for all who is the warrior of the group!
There are few things more satisfying than the thwack of the axe landing nicely where you intended it to go!
Important information
Drinking before the activity is prohibited, so for (pretty obvious!) safety reasons, if anyone in your group is intoxicated, they won’t be able to take part and will not be eligible for a refund.
